“The New Island Project”

FOCUS Lab Artist-in-Residence Jack Magai invited a select crowd of lucky folks to take part in his participatory shoreline performance “The New Island Project” to close the FOCUS Lab exhibition TO FLOW BOTH WAYS on Hudson Riverfronts. Participants were asked to navigate the liminal spaces beneath the Hoosick St bridge. Jack assigned everyone roles—explorer, industrialist, miner, critic—and chaos and beauty ensued.
