The Albany Riverfront Collaborative Launches

The Future of Small Cities is honored to be a part of the newly launching Albany Riverfront Collaborative—a diverse coalition of engaged citizens who would like to see Albany reconnect with its waterfront using an inclusive community visioning process that allows the city to achieve its great potential. The collaborative is providing a series of aspirational renderings, a documentary film, a petition, strategies for engagement, and a library of information on urban highway reimagining. These are meant to galvanize a region-wide conversation and action plan on how Albany can seize this critical moment—when Federal funds are finally available for visual community projects like these—to undo the mistakes of the past and design a sustainable, inclusive future for all.
